Hello family and friends,
We have been really reluctant about sending this message given what it is going on in the world. However, we have decided to move forward with our annual fundraising because the animals in our community still need our help.
It saddens us that the Furry Scurry event has been changed to a virtual walk this year but we certainly understand we all need to do our part. The Furry Scurry is one of the biggest fundraising events for the Dumb Friends League and we still want to do our part to ensure the League raises the funds needed to serve the animals in our community.
From now through 03/31/20, we will match any donation made through our fundraising page. No donation is too small.
The Furry Scurry was originally scheduled for 05/02/20. If it safe to do so by then, we would love to have our team members meet at our house 05/02 for our own Furry Scurry in Cherry Creek State Park. Four legged friends are encouraged to join. We will have our standard pre-event mimosas and lunch afterwards. Again, this is all dependent on the health advisories in place at that time. We will keep everyone posted as we get closer. So, if you would like to join us, please join our team. If we aren't able to meet up, we can still all participate in a virtual walk.
In case you aren't familiar, the Furry Scurry is a great Denver tradition that brings animal lovers together for a fun walk with a very important purpose: helping the Dumb Friends League care for thousands of lost, abandoned, abused and unwanted pets and horses, and giving them a second chance at happiness in a forever home. This will be the 27th annual Furry Scurry, the first ever virtual one.
If animals have brought you as much joy as they've given us, this is your opportunity to show some love to homeless pets and horses and change their lives for the better.
Thank you so much for helping us make a difference to homeless pets and horses. We appreciate your support!
