Spring Critter Camp Upper Elementary Kids in third, fourth and fifth grades can come to our Quebec Street shelter to explore the amazing world of animals. Critter Camp session runs Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is required. What can I expect my child to learn? Our goal is to teach children about compassion and respect for the world around them. By giving kids a rewarding experience working with animals and learning about animal welfare, we will provide them with lessons to help them make responsible decisions regarding the animals and people in their lives. From pets to local wildlife, we’ll cover it all! Your child will learn how to be safe around animals and work hands-on with shelter dogs to teach them some “doggy etiquette.” Experienced and enthusiastic staff, guest speakers and some cuddly critters will give your child a week of learning through activities, games and crafts. Where does the program take place? Camp will be held indoors and outdoors at our Quebec Street shelter, located at 2080 S. Quebec St. in Denver How much does Critter Camp cost? Camp costs $200 for the week. This includes all of the activities and crafts. To request an application for financial aid, please call (303) 751-5772, Ext. 7231. What other de-“tails” do I need to know? Enrollment is limited to 18 campers per session and spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. When a spot is reserved for your child, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with all the information you need, including dates, times and directions to the shelter.
