 “CAT DADDY” JACKSON GALAXY COMING TO CATFEST
Join us for a cat-tastic day of feline fun at CatFest on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 3  p.m. at our Quebec Street shelter. Animal Planet’s über-cool celebrity cat behaviorist, Jackson Galaxy, will be on hand from noon to 3 p.m. to answer all your cat queries. This year’s event will also feature a feline-only adoption special, dozens of adoptable cats and kittens, clicker-training demonstrations and a purebred cat exhibition. Plus, you can shop at the Meow Market, get cat-related veterinary and behavior advice, and let your kids enjoy free activities like face painting, spray-on tattoos, a bouncy house and games. The event is sure to attract a crowd, so please note that overflow parking will be located in the Big Lots parking lot at the northeast corner of Quebec and Iliff. READ MORE>>

 $10 WINE TASTING TO BENEFIT DUMB
FRIENDS LEAGUE
After you enjoy CatFest on July 14, don’t let the fun stop there! Head up to The Shops at Northfield-Stapleton for a special fundraiser benefiting the Dumb Friends League from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature a $10 wine tasting with all proceeds helping our homeless pets, along with live music, an activities area for kids, merchant specials and more. After losing her beloved chow mix last June, Rhonda searched high and low for another pair of chow eyes to brighten her life. She finally found the perfect chow puppy on our website—but looks can be deceiving. Rhonda suspects that the happy-go-lucky dog she adopted is actually “a golden retriever trapped in a chow body.”

EQUINE OPEN HOUSE A HIT
More than 1,000 animal lovers attended our Dumb Friends League Harmony Equine Center open house on June 16 to meet adoptable horses, watch training demonstrations and tour our new rehabilitation and adoption facility.
