Bear: a tale with a tail

The Dumb Friends League has happy tales of all varieties—you know, stories that include dog tails, cat tails and, yes, even hamster tails. Hamsters like Bear. When Rebecca, whose home is filled with love, as well two dogs, two bearded dragons, a leopard gecko, two cats, one hamster and two fish tanks, wanted to add more love to her home in the form of another hamster, she thought about adopting from the League. Let’s read more about this adorable family!

You came. You climbed. You got higher.

Peaks for Pets proved the view is better when you help homeless animals at the Dumb Friends League! Almost 400 participants conquered the League’s first-ever virtual hiking challenge during the month of September, changing their sights and altitudes while having fun outdoors! More than $24,000 was raised for the homeless pets and horses at the League, which is amazing—and we couldn’t have done it without you! Congratulations to all of our participants and especially to our weekend challenge winners.

Vote YES on 2J: end Denver’s pit bull ban

On the November 3 ballot, Denver residents can end the city’s ban on pit bulls and instead enact a special breed restricted license for these dogs. Ballot measure 2J has seen its fair share of twists and turns to get in front of Denverites, and the Dumb Friends League is excited to support the measure. Learn more about the ballot 2J and how you can help!
