Building a healthy relationship between children and their pets
Friday afternoons at Polaris at Ebert School are going to the dogs … well, students who are interested in dogs, that is. The Dumb Friends League’s humane education team presented an “elective class" for second through fifth graders this year. The Animal Adventures class ran for six weeks throughout the school year, and approximately four groups of students participated in the program. The curriculum teaches kids about animals and offers an optional shelter tour during the final week. The Polaris girls made the coziest fleece blankets for the cats in our care, and from everyone at the League, thank you! Interested in the Animal Adventures program?
