2019 Session B Summer Career Camp
Quebec Street Shelter

Critter Camp

Kids entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades can come to our shelter to explore careers in animal welfare. This Critter Careers Camp session runs Monday, July 8 to Thursday, July 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a graduation on the final day of camp from 3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. for campers and their families.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT MY CHILD TO LEARN?

Campers will discover the many career and volunteer opportunities available in animal welfare. Through interactive, hands-on activities, campers will experience what it is like to be an animal welfare investigator, a veterinarian, an animal behavior counselor and more. While assuming these roles, kids will also learn compassion, respect and responsibility.

WHERE DOES THE PROGRAM TAKE PLACE?

Career Camp will be held indoors and outdoors at our Quebec Street shelter, located at 2080 S. Quebec St. in Denver.

HOW MUCH DOES THE CAREERS CAMP COST?

Camp costs $275 for the four day session. This includes all of the activities. Please have your child bring a snack, sack lunch, and water bottle.

(Due to preparation and staffing costs, all camp fees are non-refundable.)

WHAT OTHER DE-“TAILS” DO I NEED TO KNOW?

Enrollment is limited to 20 campers per session and spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

When a spot is reserved for your child, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information you need, including dates, times and directions to the shelter.

Registration is required. Campers may enroll in only one session.
