Pawsitive Service Day @ Q 6.14.19
What is Pawsitive Service Day?
Pawsitive Service Day is an opportunity for 8 – 11 year olds to explore the amazing world of shelter pets. From safety to pet care, we’ll cover it all! Experienced and enthusiastic staff will give your child 2 hours of hands-on learning through activities, crafts, and animal interactions.
What should my child bring?
Please bring your completed and signed waivers with you at drop off, as these are required for participation in Pawsitive Service Day. Students must wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and weather appropriate clothing, as some activities might be held outside. Parents or guardians must sign students in and out each session.
Do you allow for early drop-off or late pick up?
Sorry, we cannot accommodate early drop-off or late pick up. Late pick-ups after 3:10 p.m. will be charged $1/minute.
Why do I need to sign a media waiver?
We might take pictures throughout the event to use in various Dumb Friends League media publications. A media waiver is not required for participation, however your child may need to sit out of certain group pictures if you choose not to complete one.
Why does volunteering cost money?
Your registration fee enables us to cover the cost of staffing, supplies, insurance, and materials used in Pawsitive Service Day, allowing more resources and donated dollars to be utilized for the homeless pets in our care.
What other details do I need to know?
Registrations and waivers are required for participation in Pawsitive Service Day. Please register each child separately, in individual transactions. Due to staffing and resources, all registrations are final. While we try our best to work with every animal lover, we may not be able to accommodate children with severe animal allergies or special needs. In these cases, please contact us before registering to discuss.
